About this course
The year is about to be over…done…finished…gone. How do you say goodbye to 2015? How do you discover the inner meaning of 2015? How do you prepare for 2016?
Each year you evolve. You become something you weren’t last year.
Some of your evolution is intentional and some is unintentional. But if you don’t take time to review your year as the unfolding of a new you, how do you know yourself? How do you know what you mean when you say I am?
How do you SEE yourself?
How do you CELEBRATE yourself?
How do you MAKE WISE CHOICES for the coming year?
Are you PREPARED TO BECOME new, different, more mature, more self-compassionate, more creative in the coming year?
INNER ADVENT is a program that guides you in saying goodbye to the old year. It provides an organized approach to looking at your inner evolvution and understanding the meaning of your year with creative compassion. It cleans up your soul and prepares your inner life for becoming new, for a another year of evolving.
It creates a sweet emptiness, a manger in your soul.
Lynn, thank you so much for this. this audio content is as a vessel through which flows profound healing; it encourages me in an inviting way to live the processes of releasing the inner year gently and with love. I am so thankful for the way in which even small steps, beginning gestures - whatever had been possible - are actually far-reaching in effect... The work of celebrating, mourning, attending to regrets and awakening self-forgiveness are described so beautifully. I also cherish the inclusion of the shadow in a 'just right' way - in an honouring way. Lynn that you have deeply meditated and pondered on anthroposophical insight such that it bears fruit in this way moves me and awakens wonder and thankfulness. It is living. It is as grace. It enables my inner process. Anne D.

Your work of journalling, creating your Inner Advent mandala (not a work of art but a self-illuminating artistic representation of your year – no critiquing, just wondrous and courageous self-expression) will take your attention and your effort – 2-10 hours over the four weeks.
Is your Inner Advent worth this much of your precious time? Will you be happier? More peaceful? More grounded? More alive? More awake to your self? Yes, yes, yes!
Will you find more true freedom to be and become yourself? Yes.
Will you find more love? For yourself? for others (even the difficult others)? for the world? for the future? for the past? for the moment? Yes.
Inner Advent is an intimate, serious, profound and mysterious spiritual practice. It also offers moments of true joy when the experience of your evolving I AM sings in harmony with the evolving Cosmos.
Questions to Inspire
How do you find yourself in all the events and circumstances of the year?
How do you recognize yourself with confidence and authority? What was authentically YOU in your thoughts, feelings and deeds?
How did you evolve, become new, more mature? What new truth lived in your thoughts? What new beauty formed in your feelings? How did goodness pour out from your actions? What happened to your soul over the year?
The cosmic rhythm of your inner year wakes up to these questions and finds their answers during the last few weeks before the Solstice and the Nativity – your soul’s Inner Advent.

Your year made a difference – to you, to others, to the world and to the future. What was the difference?
It was not just the same routine, the same gestures and activities, the same rhythms of sleep, meals, work, relationships. It was different and it was powerful. If you don’t believe it, register for the Inner Advent teleseminar and do the work. If you don’t discover the powerful difference, I will give you your $47 back and include a one-hour private session with me to talk about why your year didn’t make a difference.
- shows the differences this year made
- makes sense of your year
- gives you a feeling of completion
- provides a surprisingly objective awareness of your truth.
- liberates you from limiting identities, stories and reactions
- reveals the lessons of the year
- increases your ability to creatively design your future
- celebrates who you’ve been, who you are and who you are becoming
“My soul and the world are but one.”
There are seven billion people on this planet who have lived another year. How many of them will do the inner work of recollecting, reviewing and releasing their inner past so their inner future can be met with real possibility and real responsibility? In our increasingly challenging world with the growing difficulties of our political, economic and environmental crises, self-knowledge is the first step to resolution. Self-knowledge leads to freedom and love – the freedom to make new choices and the love for others, the planet and the future.
Inner Advent is an embrace, a conscious embrace, of your unfolding life. It’s a responsibility to your self, maybe even a spiritual or moral duty to your self. We are different from animals in that we have the moral ability to be self-conscious and self-creative. We are not just about drives for survival or desires for being happy, we are about freedom and growth.
Freedom comes from knowing yourself. Self-knowledge is a spiritual practice.
Rudolf Steiner teachings guide me to a right relationship to my self. He writes in his book, How To Know Higher Worlds, “You can only sacrifice that which you have fully possessed.” Self-knowledge is self-possession. Possess your year so you can let it go.
Know how you survived this year. Know how you emotionally experienced the year. Know how you grew and evolved over the year.
Know your inner year to know your self!
I've learned through this process that what happens in my "outer world" or contexts is important and is fun to reflect on but that the rich stuff is what's been going on in "the deeds" or my inner world :) I'm really enjoying creating my mandala. I too am using photoshop for the work. I love this class Lynn! It's excellent!! Melissa M
Possess your year so you can let the stories go and find the meaning, the sacrifice of your 365 days, your 29000 breaths, your efforts and struggles, your dreams, your joys, your sorrows.
How do you begin to do this? How do you organize your recollection of the year? How do you analyze what happened? How do you intuit the meaning? What are the questions that will lead to the insights, the self-knowledge, to a new you, a wiser you, a freer you?
I want Inner Advent to be a relaxed and aware experience for you. I will guide the process, but you will do the work. No one can do it but you. This is the gift you give your Self.
